Eastern Pacific Hurricane Pamela is expected to make landfall on the Mexican coast early Wednesday. Although Pamela will dissipate over the mountainous terrain of Mexico, tropical moisture associated with the hurricane’s remnants should spread across the south-central U.S., in advance of a cold front, late Wednesday and Thursday. From central Texas into southeastern Oklahoma, storm-total rainfall could reach 3 to 5 inches or more. Meanwhile, a storm system centered over Intermountain West will drift northeastward, reaching the Dakotas by mid-week.
