Mondays Marshalltown City Council meeting was full of budget review. During the review of the General Fund, there were suggestions made to the Council that would cut costs. One suggestion was to furlough employees throughout the fiscal year.
That was Councilor Gary Thompson, he had another idea to save the city money
While many ideas were thrown around of how we can save money, Councilor Dex Walker spoke up as well
The City Council already has a budget meeting planned for January 30th where they will go into further depth with some of these topics.
