Today is election day for City and School elections.  The best place for information for Marshall County voters is elections.marshallcountyia.gov.  There is a tool people can use to find their polling location.

That is Marshall County Deputy of Elections, Jessie Chezik.  In Marshalltown, Ward 1 votes at the Public Library, Ward 2 votes at the Veterans Home, Ward 3 will vote at Our Savior Lutheran Church, and Ward 4 votes at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Chezik says Iowans can register to vote the day of if they bring the right paperwork.

For those without an updated ID, if you have a phone or utilities bill with your current address that would be sufficient.  For those that are registered to vote you still need to bring something with you before you vote.

Precincts will be open today from 7am to 8pm and as long as you are in line before 8pm they have to allow you to vote.  Learn more about the election in Marshall County at elections.marshallcountyia.gov
