There are less than 3 weeks until school starts on August 24th. There will be food available to be picked up on Tuesdays and Fridays for youth during those three weeks. Marshalltown Community School District Director of Food Service, Lynn Large, says they are doing multiple meals on those pick up days.
Large says the pickup location is Lenihan Intermediate School. She says they are like to go meals youth can pick up and prepare at home easily. She says no reservation is needed.
This meal program is open to any youth that is 18 or younger
Large says the change is needed in August so her team can prep the kitchen and be ready for school to start later in the month.
