The Old Hospital in downtown Marshalltown is a property that is close to becoming a nuisance. The city has had to attempt to secure the building and not allow people in, and has also had to rescue individuals who were trapped inside. City Administrator Carol Webb says there is a public hearing the first meeting in September to discuss next steps.
Webb talks about one of the options they may use to help redevelop this property
Webb says they are also looking into some Grant opportunities especially helping with some of the environmental work
The Public Hearing will be at the September 14th Marshalltown City Council Meeting starting at 5:30 at 10 W State Street
