Noah’s Love 2nd Childhood Cancer Fundraiser

This event is in honor of Noah Ohrt, son of Ed and Kathy Ohrt, Gladbrook. Noah had Ewing Sarcoma Cancer, a very aggressive primary form of bone cancer. Noah was diagnosed at age 15. Noah became an Angel at age 17, March 8, 2014. Noah loved spending time dirt-biking, kayaking, fishing, bowling, playing football for the GR Rebels, helping out on the family farm, and spending time with his girlfriend Kyleah Dugan and his friends having many campfires at our home. Noah loved the outdoors and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Noah had an awesome sense of humor and wherever Noah was you could hear his contagious laugh and he had this awesome outlook on life, even fighting for his life. Noah was an inspiration to us all. Forever Loved, Forever Missed.
We will have a silent auction, meal and Nick Sorenson warming up with the Craig Gerdes band. We have many items coming in for the silent auction and are still accepting items. Doors open at Lincoln Amvet Hall, Lincoln, at 4:30, meal at 6:30, band 8-8:30. Pulled smoke pork sandwiches, beans, corn, cheesy potatoes and Leah cupcakes and desserts. Last year we raised over $10,000.00. We have been able to help other families fighting this horrific disease with gas, gift cards, toys and items to children and teens in the hospital, donations to University of Iowa Dance Marathon, UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital and Childlife Program, Children’s Cancer Connection, and other organizations supporting research for new and less toxic treatments for teens and children and hopefully one day a cure. Please contact Ed:641-751-3879 or Kathy:641-751-3135 or Kyleah:319-464-6224.
Tickets may be purchased at Hometown Foods in Gladbrook or Trunck’s Foods in Reinbeck or by calling one of us.
