Students at Lenihan Intermediate School discovered how the cents add up to help fellow students affected by Hurricane Harvey.

A “penny war” at the Marshalltown school raised more than $1,000.00 to donate to a Houston area school damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Many of the students had seen coverage of the storm that battered Houston and wondered how they could help. The money will go to Wilson Intermediate School in Houston.
