The Marshalltown City Council was again taken to task last night by Marshalltown resident Reed Riskedahl over its handling of money for the Emergency 911 Commission. Taxing for a new commission is no longer in the City’s budget, but Riskedahl says instead of backing out that money, his position is that residents will be taxed twice; once for the 911 commission and once by the City.
Mayor Joel Greer said the City will be releasing a positioning statement on the issue sometime today.
