48 Hours in Iowa-from Tornados to freezing temperatures.
We have a freeze warning effect tomorrow morning from one to 8 a.m., as temps are expected to fall to just at below freezing. Hopefully that means good bye skeeters.
Meantime the Iowa River in Tama County is experiencing moderate flooding. The river is half a foot over flood stage and if it rises a bit more could make Chelsea inaccessible from the south.
At Marshalltown, the river has hot quite reached flood stage. It’s expected to do so tomorrow afternoon. The flooding could impact the southbound lanes of Highway 14 and Highway 330 south of Albion.
