Discussion continued last night at the Marshalltown City Council regarding an eight-foot shared path and/or a sidewalk planned on12 th Avenue from roughly Anson Street to the Emerson Governor Road plant. Public Works Director Justin Nickel presented a history of the project going back around ten years which discussed installing the path on the residential west side of the street or the east side which is business-focused.

Councilor at large Leon Lamer then proposed and the Council voted to amend the project to a five-foot sidewalk, and extending it to the nearby soccer fields on the east side.
