Five more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported in our area, per the Iowa Department of Public Health. Of the 18 new fatalities since yesterday, two were in Marshall County for a total of 9, two in Tama County for 23 and one in Jasper County for 15. Statewide, the death toll now 418.

Confirmed cases rose since midday yesterday by 353 to 16,307. 11 of those new cases reported in Marshall County for 846 and eight in Tama County for 382.

Those who have recovered from the virus in Marshall County now 442.
