The Marshall County Board of Supervisors met in special session to receive and open bids for a masonry replacement project planned for the courthouse building in downtown Marshalltown.

Five bids were received with a range of basic bid pricing:

Bi State Masonry of Rock Island, Illinois, 32,318-dollars, Renaissance Restoration of Galena Illinois, 56-thousand- 480 dollars, Western Special Contractors of West Des Moines, 49-thousand 815 dollars, the Fred Jackson Company with a bid of 106-thousand 305 dollars, and C-M-T Tuck Pointing and Restoration of Stockton Iowa with a bid of 86-thousand 800 dollars.

The supervisors voted to accept the bids, they will give the Buildings and Grounds Department and County Engineers Department a week to analyze the bids and come back with a report…the board will make a decision at next Tuesday`s regular county supervisor meeting.
