The Marshalltown area received a day of on again off again snow shower activity on Saturday, some of which stuck to the ground and remained overnight till the sun came out Sunday. Spring arrived at 11:30 Saturday night. The precipitation received amounted to .08 hundreths of an inch. It was a cool weekend with a high of 36 on Saturday and 42 on Sunday. Weather watchers say be wary of a system due to come through Iowa on Wednesday into Thursday that could produce story weather in combination with more snow.
