Two Earth Day related events are planned for Sand Lake on Saturday. The lake is just east of Marshalltown off of East Main Street. A Trout Release is planned for 11:00 am. Anglers are welcome but must have their fishing license and a trout stamp as well. At noon there will be a watershed demonstration and a water quality testing event. Earth Day is officially on Friday.
