The Marshalltown Fire Department reports a house fire at 712 East Boone that took place on Friday afternoon. As crews arrived fire and smoke was coming from the rear porch of the residence and also the roof. No one was hurt. Damage was estimated at 15-thousand dollars. The cause remains under investigation.
