The Marshalltown High School girls’ soccer team beat Fort Dodge on Friday by the score of 7-1 at Leonard Cole Field. Ruth Boland tallied a hat trick with three goals for the Bobcats. Rachel Whaley also scored twice.The Bobcats improved to 1-0 in conference play and 4-6 overall. Victoria Johnson was in net for Marshalltown facing 5 shots on goal and making 4 saves. Next up for the Bobcats is a road game Tuesday at Johnston. The four wins for Marshalltown in 2016 matches the victory total for all of last season.
