The Marshalltown Community College softball team won and lost Sunday at West Burlington in the region 11 playoffs and ended up 3rd in the competition. The Tigers beat Muscatine Community College 14-4 and ended up losing to Iowa Western 5-1, ending up their season 29-24 – the second best record ever in school history. Tiger players Sarah Ghee, Kari Smith, and Paige Taylor made the all region 11 team.
