Despite speculation and a lot of rain in parts of Iowa including Central Iowa Tuesday, there are no concerns yet for any kind of flooding possibilities along the Iowa River in the Marshalltown vicinity. The latest stage of the river Wednesday morning was 11.31 feet. Marshalltown proper has received 1.54 inches of rain over the last four days. The river is expected to crest at two tenths of an inch below the action stage of 14 feet at which time a close eye will be kept on the current of the river. Flood stage is 19 feet.
