The Iowa Hawks rolled to victory Saturday night at Iowa City over Iowa State 42-3. Hawk quarterback C-J Beathard threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns while running back Le Shun Daniels Junior ran for 112 yards on 15 carries rushing. The Hawks had 435 yards total offense to 291 for Iowa State which was limited to a 31 yard field goal in the first quarter. The Cyclones hit just 14 of 35 pass attempts between two quarterbacks. Iowa State had to punt 9 times. The crowd at Kinnick was 70-thousand-585. Iowa scored two touchdowns in each of the 1st three quarters then coasted in the final frame. Iowa at 2-0 now will host North Dakota State next Saturday in Iowa City at 11-am. Iowa State is reeling right now and must face Texas Christian on the road Saturday at 11-am as well. Iowa State wore its all white jerseys Saturday night with the cardinal and gold trim. The Clones are 0-2.
