According to Marshalltown School District Communications Director Andrew Potter, seven people have submitted letters of interest on serving on the Marshalltown School Board following the resignation of Ben Stansberry. Those individuals include: Ben Fletcher, Carol Geil, Dwight Martin, Peggy Niedermann, Brittany O’Shea, Edie Rierson, and Kathleen Goslinga. Potter says interviews will take place next week and an appointment could be made. He says there is still the possibility that petitions could be submitted and a special election could be brought about. Ben Stansberry resigned after being arrested by the Marshalltown Police Department on theft and trespassing charges.
