Marshall County Chief Deputy Steve Hoffman is reporting additional phone scam activity in the listening area. Deputy Hoffman says one scam that has been reported involves someone posing to be from the I-R-S from the area code 253 threatening legal charges if the caller did not respond. He says the I-R-S does not respond in that matter and do not give out personal information to someone over the phone and contact law enforcement if you are suspicious.
