On April 26, 2017, at approximately 12:55 am, officers with the Marshalltown Police Department along with the
Marshalltown Fire Department and paramedics from Central Iowa Healthcare responded to 7 ½ S. 9th St. on the
report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived on-scene and found an adult male with a stab wound to the lower torso. The victim, identified
as 21 year old Isaiah Jacob Parker of Marshalltown, was transported to Central Iowa Healthcare by ambulance
where he died as a result of his injury.

The suspect, who was on-scene when officers arrived, was transported to the police department for
questioning.

After questioning, and with the assistance of the Marshall County Attorney’s Office, Jordan Scott Parker was
charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he will make his initial
court appearance.

Marshalltown Police Detectives are continuing the investigation into this case.

Murder in the 2nd degree is a class B felony
