The Cubs ended Colorado’s seven-game winning streak as Addison Russell and Kyle Schwarber had back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning to put Chicago ahead to stay in a 7-5 decision over the Rockies. It was Russell’s first big contribution since an absence in the wake of an MLB investigation into domestic abuse allegations. Miguel Montero and Ben Zobrist also connected as the defending champs climbed back to .500 and dropped the Rockies to 41-24, still tops in the National League.
