The city of Marshalltown`s 9-1-1 Service Board met at the Marshalltown Police Station Thursday. They are making some alterations to what is called a 28-E agreement for 9-1-1 dispatch services to Marshall County. The meeting was chaired by Marshalltown Mayor Jim Lowrance. The altered agreement is 16 pages in length. No action was taken, just comments and suggestions from the audience of 31 people. This was a special meeting and the matter will be brought up again as the board will meet on July 13th. There were a number of movers and shakers in attendance including the police and fire chief and the county sheriff and County Supervisor Bill Patton.
