Today is the first of two days of a big race weekend at the Iowa Speedway at Newton. The K and N Pro Series Nascar Race will lead things off tonight, followed by the band Grand Funk in concert. Tomorrow the Xfinity series race the U-S Cellular 250 will be contested. KIX 101.1 will broadcast the race with coverage underway at two p-m. Already campers are on scene at the track and enjoying the good weather, Thursday night a haulers parade took place through the streets of Newton which was well received.
