The House of Compassion in Marshalltown will be distributing school supplies to those in need Saturday and Monday at Saint Paul`s Episcopal Church. The deadline for families to sign up has already passed. School starts up again on Wednesday August 23rd. Meanwhile the Marshalltown Police Department solved a case in which a volunteer at the House of Compassion had a purse stolen, the person was delivering donations, most of the contents of the purse were recovered.
