A Marshalltown woman was arrested and faces charges after working as a financial secretary for a local church.

Dawn Muller made an appearance in court in Marshalltown via an attorney to answer to charges of 1st Degree Theft and Ongoing Criminal Conduct for alleged crimes that date back to February of this year according to the website Iowa Courts Online. She was represented by Attorney Chad Frese. The Criminal complaint was filed on Thursday August 3rd.

Muller apparently had been employed at a local church in Marshalltown.

Assistant Marshall County Attorney Jim Sheets says she waived her right to a preliminary hearing. The state is expected to file formal charges within a month and a half and then set a date for an arraignment.
