Two Bobcat wrestlers are still on the mats after day one of the High School State Wrestling Tournament.

All four Marshalltown grapplers feel to foes in the first round. However in the consolations, Logan Baccam at 138 and Brain Trowbrdige at 160 both captured wins.

South Tama has five wrestlers still in comepetiton; Brady Fritz at 132 pounds, Tanner Probasco at 138 and Isaac Judge at 152 all won their opening-round matches while Colton Vest and Dalton Rosenburg rebounded from losses to start the day to post wins in their first consolation matches.
