Gabe Isom could be sworn in as early as this evening to the Marshalltown City Council. An official recount of the February 27th Special Election for the City Council seat was completed this morning. The recount confirmed Isom edged Bob Untiedt by two votes in the five person race. Marshall County Auditor Nan Benson says the recount process went very smoothly.

Benson says the recount was a good learning experience, not only for her and the Auditor/Recorder’s staff, but for the three people on the recount board.
