Two people from Cedar Rapids have been identified as the victims in yeserday’s accident on Highway 30 in Benton County.

39-year old Michou Mayloa and 21-year old Jeremie Mvemba lost their lives when the car they were in crossed into the oncoming lane and ran head-on into a semi-truck. Three other passengers in the car were transported to Cedar Rapids hospitals, as was the driver of the semi, Paul Jarrett of Waukee. The Iowa State Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
