Des Moines Roosevelt took the girls title, Southeast Polk the boys crown at the Marshalltown Earlybird Cross Country meet yesterday.
Marshalltown finished sixth in the girls standings, led by Phoebe Hermanson, who placed 13th.
On the boys side, the Bobcats registered a 6th place finish, led by Conner Smith who was 15th overall.
Defending 3A champ Gilbert easily topped runner up Dallas-Center Grimes to take the boys title at the Gilbert Invite. North Polk won the girls competition with host Gilbert 3rd.
The GMG boys finished third at the Collins-Maxwell Invite, while the GMG girls captured fifth place. Ballard took both the girls and boys title.
