The Marshalltown City Council approved a wine and beer license for a new restaurant, which is hoping to open next month.

Opa will serve a mixture of Greek, Mediterranean and American dishes for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. Ruth Coutsougeras, who will run the eatery along with her husband and son, says they are working to get Opa open.

Opa will be located at the former Brew House location at  Boone and Center across from Emerson/Fisher.
