Penalty kicks were the deciding factor in the opening quarterfinal match of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament between the University of Northern Iowa and Evansville.

Evansville would win after six-rounds of penalty kicks, 3-2. Amanda DaSilva of Evansville got the ball in past senior keeper Jami Reichenberger of the Panthers.
