New help for temporary minor emergency home repairs for folks impacted by the tornado has been announced by Governor Kim Reynolds and Marshalltown Mayor Joel Greer.

Voluntary Agencies Leading and Organizing Repairs, also known as VALOR, will utilize selected volunteer organizations to perform approved work, including oversight of volunteer labor and materials needed.

The city of Marshalltown believes that roughly 400 homes may be eligible to receive assistances under the VALOR program. For more information, contact the Housing and Community Development Office.
