For a the sixth time since 2003, the City of Marshalltown has received a sizable grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to help further eliminate the hazards of lead paints from homes.

Housing and Community Development Director Michelle Spohnheimer says the three and a half million dollar grant will help with the cost of the repairs.

She says applications for the grant money will be available sometime after the first of the year.
