Two people were killed in a two vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in Grundy County.

A car heading north on Highway 14 north of Conrad crossed the center line on the snow covered road and  ran into a southbound semi.

Thd driver and the passenger in the car were taken to area hospitals and both later died. Their names have not yet been released.

The driver of the semi, Laurence Smith of St. Louis was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
