It took weeks of planning and prep, but only a few minutes to pop the top off of the Marshall County Courthouse. The tornado damaged dome will be replaced by a new dome later this year, but first, the old one had to come off. It was craned down just after five o’clock yesterday. Lucas Baedke, director of building and grounds for Marshall County said it was good for his stress level, seeing the dome come back to earth
A temporary roof will take the place of the dome while the renovation of the courthouse continues.
