Iowa State middle linebacker Mike Rose admits he surprised himself by how quickly he adapted to the college game. The native of Ohio started all 13 games last season as a true freshman and earned honorable mention All Big-12 honors after finishing fourth on the team in tackles.

The Cyclones open at home on August 31st against Northern Iowa.
