A Marshalltown woman died after attempting to flee from police yesterday in Marion County.

Knoxville police say Erin Weers took off after an officer tried to make a routine traffic stop on Highway 14 for speeding.

Weers sped away at up to 90 miles per hour before flying into a ditch, hitting a driveway, sending the vehicle airborne.

Attempts to revive Weers at the scene were not successful.
