Muriel E. Wills, 84, of Marshalltown, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown.

Memorial services for Muriel will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Muriel Wills was born on May 27, 1935 in State Center, Iowa to Charles Frederick and Mary Luella Melberg Wills. She graduated from LaMoille High School in 1952. Muriel was united in marriage to David Fullerton on November 12, 1998. David passed away on October 21, 2003. Muriel had worked for Marshalltown Instruments in the factory and later worked for Iowa Valley Continuing Education. Muriel was an excellent cook and was known for the biscotti’s that she made. She was a member of the LaMoille Church and would sell them at the bazaar and they were sold out in no time at all!! Muriel also enjoyed watching golf and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. She was known as “Aunt Myrt” to her many nieces and nephews.

Muriel is survived by her brother; Don Wills and nieces and nephews: Ken (Kris) Hickman, Kay (Jim) Stewart, David (Yvonne) Hickman, Tim (Lori) Hickman, Jeff (Glenda) Dixon, Robyn Lockwood, Todd (Rita) Lockwood, Kipp Lockwood, Kerri (John) Doody, Dane (Brenda) Wills and David Wills.

Muriel is preceded in death by her husband David; parents, Fred and Luella; grandparents, George and Alice Wills; sisters: Shirley Dixon, Marion Hickman, Margery Lockwood and Mary Lu Wills and her sister in law Dona Wills.
