Eight more deaths and 739 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 was the report this morning from the Iowa Department of Public Health.

The death toll now 168, with total cases to date of the virus is 7,884. Over 37 and a half thousand negative tests have been reported to date.

There have not been any additional deaths reported in our immediate area.

Marshall County confirmed cases now at an even 500;

Tama County has 270;

Jasper Couty has 155;

Poweshiek County is at 57

and Story County’s count is now 31.
