Widespread storms last week caused flooding and
damage in some areas of Michigan because of heavy rain and strong winds.
The USDA says corn is 96 percent planted, 85
percent emerged, and condition declined a point to 65 percent good to
excellent. Soybeans are 95 percent
planted, 84 percent emerged, and condition remained at 67 percent good to
excellent.
Oats in are 95 percent planted, 84 percent
emerged, and condition dropped a point to 65 percent good to excellent. Dry beans are 38 percent planted, and first
cutting of alfalfa is 50 percent complete.
