A slow-moving cold front will generate scattered showers and thunderstorms from the Pacific Northwest into the upper Midwest. Five-day rainfall totals should range from 1 to 2 inches across portions of the upper Midwest and northern sections of the Rockies and High Plains. Most of the remainder of the country, including New England and a broad area from California to the Mississippi Delta, will remain mostly dry through week’s end.
