
High ratings continue this week for Iowa’s corn and soybean crops.
The latest crop progress report put corn at 85 percent and
soybeans at 84 percent good to excellent.
There were even a few reports of corn beginning to silk in parts of the
state.
A few farmers have begun their second cutting of alfalfa and
hay condition is rated 75 percent good to excellent. Pasture condition rated 70
percent good to excellent.
