
Drier weather across Tennessee continues and many crops are in need of a rain.
Eighty-six
percent of soybeans have been planted, 70
percent has emerged, and 64 percent are rated good to excellent. Farmers have been rushing to plant double-crop
beans as soon as their winter-wheat crop has been harvested. Ninety-six percent of the cotton crop has been
planted and 17 percent of the crop is squaring with 60 percent rated good to
excellent.
