Iowa continues to have some of the highest crop condition ratings in the country.

The good to excellent rating for Iowa’s corn crop in Monday’s
crop progress report was 85 percent, with soybeans coming in at 83 percent.

There were scattered reports of corn beginning to silk.  Soybean blooming reached 16 percent, five days
ahead of average.

The second cutting of alfalfa was nine percent complete with
hay condition rated 75 percent good to excellent.
