The condition of Minnesota’s corn and soybean crop
deteriorated slightly last week.
USDA says as of Sunday, 84 percent of corn and 81 percent of
soybeans are rated good to excellent. The
soybean rating for that category was unchanged, but one percent of the acreage
is now rated very poor after some reports of isolated hail.
Soybeans blooming reached seven percent, 11 days ahead of
last year and two days ahead of the five-year average.
