The U.S. House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis is
recommending biofuels be part of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
In a new report meant to guide future climate change legislation,
the committee proposed building on the existing Renewable Fuel Standard with a low-carbon
fuel standard.
American Coalition for Ethanol CEO Brian Jennings describes
it as a performance-based metric that could help spur increased use of ethanol,
biodiesel, and other renewable fuels.
