The U.S. Dairy Export Council says a major obstacle for dairy sales to China is gone.  Starting July 1st, the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service is no longer required to audit dairy and infant formula plants in order to register them for export sales to China.

The end of the audits is part of the phase one trade deal

with China.  USDEC says the change eases

the regulatory and financial burden of U.S. dairy suppliers sending products to

China.

Dairy plants wishing to export to China must still file an

application with the U.S.
