Storms carrying hail and winds up to 70 miles per hour damaged crops last night in parts of Nebraska.
Channel Seeds agronomist Tammy
Ott, who is based at Aurora in central Nebraska, says she’s seeing quite a bit
of damage.
“Not only green snap, but damage to that leaf tissue and stalk tissue as well,” Ott says. “So we will have to evaluate that as we move through the growing season.”
On the positive side, the storms also brought much-needed rain to some dry areas, with one to two inches reported at several locations.
